What is the Lamprobe?
The Lamprobe is a radiofrequency heat probe that effectively removes unwanted vascular and raised skin lesions without causing significant downtime. As opposed to other traditional lesion-removal modalities (freezing, burning and cutting), the Lamprobe can be used to safely address these concerns without causing scarring.
What makes the Lamprobe different at Seiler Skin?
There are number of devices on the market that pose a higher risk of complication – especially when used by an inexperienced practitioner. As always, after evaluating all devices in this category, Dr. Seiler identified the Lamprobe as the highest-quality and safest tool to effectively treat these conditions.
What does the Lamprobe treat?
- Skin tags and benign moles
- Actinic and seborrheic keratoses
- Acne, pimples and clogged pores
- Milia (cholesterol deposits)
- Telangiectasia (small spider veins)
- Cherry Angiomas (red spots)
- Fibromas and other raised skin lesions
- Minor skin irregularities
*For certain conditions (e.g., moles, skin tags, etc.), patients must be cleared by an approved dermatologist prior to receiving a Lamprobe treatment at Seiler Skin. During your consultation, Dr. Seiler will recommend a trusted dermatologist, if necessary.
Who is a good candidate for the Lamprobe?
Men and women of all ages and skin types who have the above conditions are excellent candidates for this treatment. Additionally, if you have tried other more traditional treatments for these lesions and have been disappointed or even scarred, the Lamprobe is a precise, rapid and effective solution.
What should I expect after a Lamprobe treatment?
The above conditions can typically be resolved in one to two treatments, with minimal to no downtime. Patients typically see immediate results, and can return to normal activity immediately. This treatment is non-invasive, requires no anesthesia and is well-tolerated.
What is the cost of a Lamprobe treatment?
On average, the price of a Lamprobe treatment ranges from $100 – $200 per treatment.
