BACKGROUND

Alexa is a Birmingham native who’s lived in the Iron City her entire life. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Jefferson State Community College where she earned a degree in radiology technology with a focus in diagnostic medical sonography. Alexa joined the Seiler Skin team in late 2019 and has been helping patients take control of their skin health ever since.

EXPERIENCE & FORMAL TRAINING

Alexa brings a depth of clinical experience to Seiler Skin and previously worked at Children’s of Alabama and served as a patient coordinator for a plastic/vein surgery office. Alexa is also credentialed through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Additionally, Alexa has a medical aesthetics license through the State of Alabama. She spent years apprenticing under Dr. Seiler, building her skills and knowledge of aesthetics, lasers and injectable procedures. Alexa has been personally trained by Dr. Seiler in advanced laser theory, physics, and applications of the procedures she performs under his supervision. She also apprenticed under our medical aesthetician, Leigh Ann Dean, to gain further knowledge and skills from a 10 year veteran in the aesthetics industry.  

CURRENT ROLE

As an aesthetician, Alexa specializes in CoolSculpting, laser hair removal, HydraFacials, chemical peels, Vivace RF Microneedling and Vampire Facials. She also assists Dr. Seiler with procedures and consultations. Alexa is loved by her patients. Since being with us for 5 years, she has established herself as the go-to aesthetician for some of our longest patient relationships. Alexa was nominated by her patients and won Best Esthetician in Homewood by Homewood Life Magazine for 2022. 

PERSONAL LIFE

Alexa enjoys exploring the Bluff Park area with her dog, Gus, and loves trying out the newest restaurants and breweries Birmingham has to offer. When she’s not at work, you can oftentimes find her running on local trails and spending time outdoors.
