Ashley Strickland

Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Education & Background

Ashley was born and raised in Selma, Ala., and moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 2005 before returning to Alabama in 2017. She graduated cosmetology school and obtained her license in 2007, and cosmetology instructor license in 2009. Ashley is a licensed tattoo artist in Florida and Mississippi, a Certified Microblading Artist and a Certified CoolSculpting Specialist who underwent advanced training at CoolSculpting University.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining Seiler Skin, Ashley worked for Estee Lauder for three years as a makeup artist before obtaining her Cosmetology Instructors License. Ashley then taught cosmetology and esthetics for one year. Although she loved her students and teaching, she missed being in the aesthetic industry and seeing patients. Therefore, she transitioned into medical aesthetics at a large hospital system on the Gulf Coast, where she spent four years advancing her knowledge of medical-grade skincare products and procedures. She then joined a well-respected dermatologist and Mohs surgeon on the Gulf Coast, and practiced cosmetic dermatology for an additional two and a half years.

Working in cosmetic dermatology, Ashley realized her true calling through helping patients achieve their skin-care goals by designing medical-grade skincare plans to complement their aesthetic procedures. Ashley trained extensively to perform laser hair removal, CoolSculpting, acne surgeries, Dermasweep, various medical-grade chemical peels, Dermaplane, radiofrequency and microneedling. She also worked closely with the dermatologist, assisting her with surgeries and patient care.

Formal Training

Although Ashley was very well trained at the Gulf Coast dermatology practice before joining Seiler Skin, she has also undergone intense and thorough training directly under Dr. Seiler and his cosmetic laser training company. Ashley has completed her HydraFacial, Advanced Corrective Peel, Vampire Facial, Laser Hair Removal, Lamprobe training under Dr. Seiler. This training included initial and ongoing education in laser and light theory, physics, safety, philosophical and practical application, patient and condition diagnosis and management, physical technique, device parameter settings and patient care management before, during and after procedures. Having worked for a great physician before joining our team, Ashley appreciates the benefit of working alongside of Dr. Seiler because he is constantly and thoroughly involved in every patient’s care and routinely offers continuing education opportunities in the laser and light procedure specialty.

Current Role

Ashley is a medical aesthetician at Seiler Skin, and performs Coolsculpting, Vampire Facials, laser hair removal, chemical peels, HydraFacials, LipoB12 shots, Dermaplane, Lamprobe and in-depth cosmetic consultations. She also assists Dr. Seiler as he performs procedures.

Personal Life

Ashley is recently married. She and her wife Felecia are excited to deepen their roots here in Alabama. In Ashley’s spare time, she enjoys working on her blog and building a house and home, and loves outdoor activities, going to concerts and spending time with her Seiler Skin family.
