Vivace & Vampire Facials – A Winning Combination

By Leigh Ann Gelinas

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: when you’re developing a skincare regimen, think beyond just the face! People tend to fixate on the face, but there are other areas of the body just as important to take care of. Areas such as the neck and chest are oftentimes the first to show the signs of aging and also require different types of treatments and medical-grade products. Two of the leading treatments we use for the neck, lower face and chest are Vampire Facials and Vivace – and today, we want to share how these two work with one another to provide proven, lasting results.

Vampire Facials have been a staple at Seiler Skin for years now and depend on the transformative power of platelet rich plasma, or PRP. Through a series of treatments, patients can improve skin concerns such as:

  • Fine lines
  • Skin texture
  • Pore size and acne
  • Acne scars
  • Tone and complexion (i.e., color and clarity)
  • Surgical and traumatic scars
  • Stretch marks

Vivace is a bit newer to our practice, but patients are already discovering firsthand the incredible results it delivers! This FDA-approved, microneedling radio frequency treatment stimulates collagen and elastin production which translates to tighter skin. We brought Vivace to our practice not only because of its microneedling technology and minimal downtime/discomfort, but also due to its ability to lift and tighten non-invasively like other devices can’t. Our team uses the device to address the eyelids, lower face, neck and chest to really improve the appearance of your skin.

Now, you may be asking yourself – how do these two treatments work together? Imagine you decide to run a full marathon. You wouldn’t sign up one day and expect to run it the next, but instead put in the time and training to get your body in the best shape possible. That’s exactly how the Vampire Facial works with Vivace – we use the treatment to prime your skin so that you can achieve the best results possible from both procedures.

We typically say three is the magic number when it comes to how many Vampire Facials are required to really lock in results, but it truly depends on the skin conditions of each patient we see. Patients whose skin is already in good condition but could use some tightening with Vivace may only need one or two Vampire Facials prior to treatment. Those who may not be on a treatment plan or whose skin is damaged from the sun or acne scarring may require additional Vampire Facials first. Dr. Seiler consults with each patient prior to developing a plan to determine what combination works for their concerns and needs.

In looking at the Vampire Facial and Vivace, it isn’t an either/or situation. Rather, it’s a combination of the two treatments to optimize results and give you the skin you deserve. We also use medical-grade products such as Alastin’s Restorative Skin Complex and Restorative Neck Complex as part of the formula for a successful regimen.
