What a difference a little filler can make
I have a lot of experience with advanced techniques in restoring the volume of the face with Juvederm, Volbella, Vollure and Voluma. Patients are amazed at what just a little filler can accomplish in different areas of the face. As we age, we lose collagen, tissue, fat, muscle, and even bone thickness and volume which causes sagging of skin and hollowing of the face. It turns the “upside down triangle of youth” in to the “square face of aging”. I can restore volume with Juvederm, Voluma and other lifting procedures like Exilis. My patients have seen great results with little tweaks I make to different facial areas, using just a small amount to restore volume to the face and correct the proportions of the face. Smaller injections to help with brow height and peak, cheek shape and height, hollowing under the eyes, down turning of the corners of the mouth, volume loss near the ear, jowling along the jaw and chin, cartilage bumps on the nose and shadowing of certain areas that patients see in pictures. I can even fill in the hole/slant of an enlarged earring hole, what I call “filling in the donut!”
It’s really amazing how just a little filler in many different areas of the face can totally make a patient feel better about how they look and especially how they appear in pictures. Patients are often afraid that they will look “done” or “injected” or that it will be obvious that they “had something done.” It does not have to be that way if the expert injector, like me, knows what he or she is doing. I hear all too often that a patient is afraid of what they will look like because their friend had a bad experience somewhere else, or even the patients themselves have had a bad experience. They are put at ease after consulting with me and understanding the difference in a novice and advanced injector. It really makes me happy to see a patient in follow up who has had me inject Juvederm and to see how much of a nice change it can make, but keep them looking natural without looking like they had something done.
