Unlock Your True Smile with GravityPhiX

By Warren B. Seiler III MD

Smiles are one of the first things we notice about one another. From expressing joy to making someone feel welcome, smiling is a big part of how we interact with people on a daily basis. True, our smiles may be hidden behind masks lately, but they still are an important part of helping us feel like ourselves. It can be upsetting to see our smiles change as we get older, especially as fine lines and wrinkles develop around the mouth and we see our lips lose their fullness. Everyone should look and feel their best — especially when it comes to their smile — which is why I’m excited to talk about my non-surgical smile lift!

This treatment is based in my GravityPhiX philosophy that utilizes Botox in key areas of the face and neck to address the signs of aging. I start by concentrating injections in the upper and lower lip, chin and DAO, or corners of the mouth. The DAO is commonly referred to as the frowning muscles given they pull at the mouth when they contract. By injecting Botox in these areas, I’m able to reduce the severity at which the muscles contract while still allowing you to express a full range of emotions. Constant pulling of the skin produces fine lines and wrinkles as well as greater skin laxity, so lessening the contractions lessens the signs of aging. This is especially true for vertical lip lines that tend to be the most noticeable difference as you get older.

The second part of the treatment entails injecting filler into the lips if more volume is also desired. Using my expert knowledge of facial anatomy, I inject the lips with an effective yet conservative amount of filler. The key is to find the appropriate type and amount of filler that’ll give a patient the improvement they desire while still fitting the natural proportions of their face. This not only restores volume to the lips, but also causes a lifting effect around the corners of the mouth. The combination of Botox and filler truly addresses the smile as a whole by reacting to existing signs of aging and preventing future ones.

You may be wondering why you’d want to get the non-surgical smile lift right now when you’re constantly covering your mouth with a mask, but that’s actually why now is the ideal time to explore this treatment! After receiving Botox, the skin needs time to rebuild the collagen that gives you a more youthful, healthy look. By coming into Seiler Skin now, you’ll see a noticeable difference in the appearance of vertical lines by the time the holidays are here and when we’re hopefully able to leave our homes free of a face mask. We’ve also heard from a lot of patients who are taking advantage of this time to explore options to correct dental concerns they’ve wanted to fix for years. Even Jill has opted to use this time to get Invisalign after visiting our cosmetic dentist Dr. Paul Koch at Koch Aesthetic Dentistry. In the event you do have slight bruising and discoloration following your visit, your mask can cover it right up! Coming in now will make sure your picture-ready for the holidays and your smile looks the best it’s ever been.

It may seem like a small thing, but our smiles really do play a huge role in our self-esteem and the way we view ourselves. Seeing our smiles change as we get older can be a tough thing to experience, which is why you should invest in the products and treatments that help you look and feel your very best. This treatment will have you smiling like yourself in no time, so don’t wait any longer and come experience the non-surgical smile lift at Seiler Skin!
